KEMBA Louisville’s Commitment….

 

At our credit union, nothing is more important to us than our members. We care about you, your right to privacy and the confidentiality of your personal information. We are committed to making available financial products and services that will meet your financial needs and goals. That’s why we offer an array of products and services – some of which require us to work with other companies to deliver them to you.

KEMBA Louisville wants you to know about the information it collects about you and about

how this information might be used.

 

Information We Collect and Disclose About You

 

We collect nonpublic information about you from various sources:

    • Information we receive from you on applications and other forms,

    • Information about your transactions with us or others,

    • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency.

We will share information, with the exception of mobile numbers for texting regarding you with third parties who we have partnered with that offer services and products that will enhance our members’ financial well-being. Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge a member’s account without receiving the member’s express consent, and we will not sell member information to telemarketing firms.

We share information with third parties ….

    • When we have entered into an agreement with a third party for support services (only when the third party agrees to maintain the confidentiality of our members’ information).

    • When it is necessary to complete authorized transactions.

    • In order to verify the status of your account for an authorized third party (such as a credit bureau).

    • When we are required by law to share the information.

TEXTING – Privacy Policy and Terms of Service

 

General

By opting into messages, you agree to receive communication and informational text messages from KEMBA Louisville Credit Union. You are authorizing KEMBA Louisville Credit Union to send you account-related text messages, account verification messages, and account alerts. By doing so, you are accepting the following terms and conditions.

Message frequency varies, and additional mobile messages may be sent periodically based on your interaction with KEMBA Louisville Credit Union. KEMBA Louisville Credit Union reserves the right to alter the frequency of messages sent at any time to increase or decrease the total number of messages sent. KEMBA Louisville Credit Union also reserves the right to change the short code or phone number where messages are sent.

Message and data rates may apply to each SMS sent or received, in accordance with your mobile telephone service plan. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider. Your wireless provider is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You understand the text messages we send may be seen by anyone with access to your phone.  You also consent to receive marketing messages directly from us only. No mobile information will be provided or shared with any third parties or affiliates. Accordingly, you should take steps to safeguard your phone and your text messages if you want them to remain private. NO CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION SHOULD BE SENT VIA TEXT MESSAGE. 

Please notify us immediately if you change mobile numbers or plan to provide your phone to another person.

Carriers, Delivery, and Access

Mobile access and delivery of messages is not guaranteed, and KEMBA Louisville Credit Union is not responsible for any issues related to network failures.  You also agree to indemnify us for all claims, expenses, and damages related to or caused in whole or in part by your failure to notify us if you change your telephone number, including but not limited to, all claims, expenses, and damages related to or arising under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA), as amended from time to time. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cancellation

You can cancel any time by texting “STOP”. After you send the SMS message “STOP”, we will send you a message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed and no more messages will be sent unless you opt-in again. If you would like to receive messages from KEMBA Louisville Credit Union again, just sign up as you did the first time and KEMBA Louisville Credit Union will start sending messages to you again.

Transfer of Number

You agree that before changing your mobile number or transferring your mobile number to another individual, you will either reply “STOP” from the original number or notify us of your old number at kemba@kembaky.org . The duty to inform us based on the above events is the condition of using this service to receive messages.

Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Any personal information collected through the SMS service will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you have any questions about your data or our privacy practices, you may access our Privacy Policy.

Messaging Terms Changes

We reserve the right to change or terminate our messaging program at any time, with or without notice. We also reserve the right to update these Messaging Terms at any time, with or without notice. Such changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. You agree to review the Text (SMS) Messaging Policy periodically to ensure that you are aware of any changes. Your continued enrollment following such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

If you terminate your membership with KEMBA Louisville, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as you authorize or as required by law.

Opt-Out Option

Members that prefer that we do not disclose non-public personal information about them to non-affiliated third parties may opt out of these disclosures and direct us not to make those disclosures to non-affiliated third parties. To opt out members may notify us in writing by mailing a request to:

How We Protect Your Information

 

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic information.

 

How to Protect Your Privacy

  • Protect your account numbers, PIN’s and passwords.
  • Only give your social security and account numbers when it’s absolutely necessary.
  • Before revealing personal financial information, find out how it will be used and if it will be shared with others.
  • Keep your information with us current. It is important we know how to reach you.

Disclosure of Privacy Policy

 

KEMBA Louisville Credit Union will disclose its privacy policies as required by law. When a member relationship is established, or there is a change in the privacy disclosure, the completed model disclosure form will be provided to members in a conspicuous form that members may keep. If requested, KEMBA Louisville Credit Union will provide a mailed privacy policy to you within 10 days.

91st Annual Meeting

May 15, 2025 at Holy Family Church

The meeting will be held at Holy Family Church, Saffin Center Hall in the Riede Room, 3926 Poplar Level Rd. There will be reports on our progress over the past year, along with refreshments and door prizes.

 

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 6:00 p.m. City Barbecue is catering the event. Cost is $14 per person.
